Students from the Ralph R. Willis School of Practical Nursing Program win awards at the HOSA Competitions!

On March 8 - 9, 2019, the Ralph R Willis Career and Technical Center School of Practical Nursing participated in Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). HOSA is an international student organization that promotes career opportunities and allows students to showcase their skills and knowledge in health occupations. The program had 23 participants who competed against other LPN schools from all over the state. Some events were team events and some individual events. 19 of the program participants received first place status and the other 4 received third place. This is a prestigious accomplishment! In addition, one student, Taylor Bevins received the first place award for the conference T-shirt design and Santasia Woodby won first place for the conference program design. Each of the two students were awarded $150 for their accomplishment. The students were accompanied by their instructor, Lisa Perry, who is a sincere advocate for HOSA. The students now have the opportunity to present at the International level in Orlando Florida. Students will now advance and face the challenge of other states. Congratulations and Best of Luck!!!
