Principal's Corner

Dear Students,

I and the entire staff would like to welcome you back for the new school year.  As you begin or continue your journey toward graduation, know that you are attending one of the top career and technical centers in the state.  It is a privilege to attend RRWCTC and we expect you as students to be respectful and mindful of that fact.

I look forward to meeting with you and your parents during the coming school year and ask that you keep your parents advised of Parent-Teacher Conferences, report cards, and social functions held at or by the school.  Parents can log into Engrade to check your grades, days absent, daily assignments and other information at any time by logging onto and providing the username and password provided to them by the Logan County BOE.

School begins on August 18, 2016 at 7:50am. Our first bell will ring at 7:45am with the second bell at 7:50am to signal the start of the school day.  Dismissal for all seniors will be at 11:05am.  The bell for the start of the Juniors class will ring at 12:15pm.  Dismissal for Juniors will be at 2:05pm for Chapmanville students, 2:10pm for Man students, and 2:20pm for Logan students.  Please be on time for class and remain in your classrooms and/or shop area at all times unless excused by your instructor.  The other shop areas can pose a serious safety hazard to anyone unauthorized without proper safety training.  Safety is our utmost priority here at RRWCTC.

When you arrive on August 18, please proceed to the correct classroom where teachers will be waiting to meet their class. Each teacher will have a sign with the room number of his or her class for easy identification.  When the bell rings, teachers will take their class to the classroom.  If you need assistance ask a staff member to help point you to the correct class.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and that you are as excited about the coming year as we are.

Warm Regards,

David Adkins
